Auditions Made Easy offers concrete skills and methods to put your best foot forward at any audition, with each student receiving individualized attention. We will work together through exercises and discussions on topics including:

 

Confidence building

What to wear

How to build your audition repertoire

Creating audition materials (resume, headshot, etc.)

How to conquer jitters

...and more!

 

Every student will get the chance to practice auditioning.

Singers, actors, and singing actors of any style are welcome, ages 12 and up. This workshop is limited to 15 participants in order to guarantee individual attention.

Location:

Cantare Studio, 870 W. Centennial Blvd, Suite C, Springfield OR

(On the corner of Centennial and Rainbow.)

Each student will need to bring audition materials that are ready to go: at least one monologue or song, with script or sheet music in hand.

Everyone will need a sack lunch for Saturday.

Singers should also bring a black 1-inch binder.

About Your Workshop Instructor:

Phoebe Gildea is a veteran of the stage in musical theater, opera, and concert singing. Locally, she has appeared in concert at the Wildish and the Shedd, and sung roles with Eugene Opera, Cascadia Concert Opera, and the Cottage Theatre. Phoebe holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Chapman University, and has further training in performance techniques, including audition skills, from OperaWorks, the Astoria Music Festival, and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria. Phoebe's students have successfully auditioned and won roles large and small in musicals including The Music Man, Sweeney Todd, Annie, Spring Awakening, The Lion King, Jekyll & Hyde, and Shrek: The Musical, as well as competitive singing groups like the Dorians and school honors choirs.
